I was hoping to not have to come out with this one until later in the month.  But you know, it’s the second day of holidailies and already I’ve put off my post until 1 in the morning.  It’s hard to talk about this and still sound like an adult, but here it goes:

I have a crush on a boy.  This has been going on for quite some time.  I cannot imagine that he doesn’t know, but you know boys…  Sometimes they are clueless.  I am pretty sure, almost certain that he is just not that into me.  And then sometimes I think he is.  Anyhow he has recently taken up hunting and he asked me awhile back if I could make these hunting mitts for him.  He even showed me pictures online.  Except he never did find pictures of knitted ones, just sewn ones.  Last week I discovered that I had a mitten book in my piles of stuff, and lo and behold, there was a pattern for this mitt he was asking for.  A traditional one, with its roots in the area that he’s from.  This is way more thoughtful than I should be for someone who isn’t putting out, but with this one it doesn’t matter.  He’s been a supportive and kind friend through everything.  He can have some mitts.
